A webinar on mucoadhesive and bioadhesives was organized by ACS-BCP SC on 23rd October 2020 on the account of the theme “Sticking with Chemistry” for National Chemistry Week.
The resource persons for the webinar were Dr. Premlata Ambre (Professor of Pharmaceutical chemistry department) and Dr. Mala Menon (Adjunct Professor, Pharmaceutics department at Bombay College of Pharmacy,).
Dr. Premlata Ambre briefed about history, chemistry related to bioadhesives, its quality control tests.
Dr. Mala Menon discussed basic concepts of mucoadhesive, its structural composition, methods to assess, and touched upon the latest drug delivery examples related to mucoadhesives.
Through this webinar, students were able to understand the importance of adhesives enhance their knowledge about its technical aspects & bonding processes.
Also, the feedback about the session was collected from all the participants to improve the sessions that will be conducted in the mere future.
